Definition: Acupressure is an ancient Chinese technique of stimulating the acupuncture points using the finger tips. It is based on the movement & manipulation of energy. It’s primary functions are to eliminate blockages or obstructions in the meridians and to regulate the flow of Qi & Blood. It also serves to strengthen the energy and promote the immune function.

Content / Outline

• Basic theories of Yin & Yang and etiology of disease
• Location of 20 acu-points using the “cun” proportional body measurement
• Indications & contra-indication of cupping, moxibustion & acupressure with demonstration & hands-on
• Demonstration & hands-on practice of acupressure techniques to treat:
• Common Cold
• Headache
• Insomnia
• Asthma
• Dsmenorrhea
• Gastric disorders

Tongue Reading Workshop - 4 hours

Dates: 2nd Saturday of October, March & May

Definition : Tongue reading is part of the diagnostic method of Chinese Medicine and gives us information on the state of Qi & blood and the function of the organs
